Alex Meitlis Design

Alex Meitlis is a graduate of the department of Architecture at the Bezalel Academy of Art & Design in Jerusalem (1984) and then continued his studies at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London (1988). He has been practicing architecture and design since the late 1980’s. Alex Meitlis started his architectural career at the office of Richard Rogers Partnership in London and proceeded to work for several years with designer Ron Arad, in London. In 1993 Alex returned to Israel to establish his own architecture studio based on a vision of Total Design, where architecture, interiors and industrial design are merged together to form a complete space. His work ranges from public buildings and spaces such as hotels, showroom, exhibit and retail spaces as well as private high-end residences both in Israel and abroad. Apart from a very successful design studio, for 9 years Alex has served as a senior lecturer at Israel’s leading schools of architecture and design including the Bezalel Academy. In addition, Alex was the curator of the Periscope gallery for Israeli Industrial Design. Parallel to establishing his name as one of the most accomplished Israeli designers, In 2014, Alex Meitlis established the Alex Meitlis showroom and studio in Shoreditch, London to further expend his world-wide operation. The highly rated Ottolenghi restaurant chain in the U.K, the successful Matto café chain the NYC as well as numerous other hotels and high profile projects are among his recent achievements. The studios includes an elite team of experienced architects and designers.
