Edition Office is an architecture studio based in Melbourne, Australia with a focus on the creation of experientially rich, culturally engaged and site sensitive architecture. The practice has become established from finely crafted, award winning houses alongside artist collaborations and gallery designs for some of Australia’s leading contemporary art institutions including commissions for the Australian War Memorial and the National Gallery of Victoria. They design houses and public buildings that exist within the layered realms of their natural and cultural environment. These built projects act as an interface between a place and it's occupier and set up an ongoing relationship of colliding adjacencies, where the latent histories of each party are bled into the next. Completed works encompass varied types and scale and include commercial, cultural, single and multi-residential projects. Through the execution of its built work and research, the practice is creating an ongoing series of figures, relics, stories and relationships; all continuing a greater investigation into material & spatial practice.
