Josef Anstoetz founded a wholesale company for decoration and upholstery fabrics in Bielefeld (= JAB).

Move from the spinning mill “Spinnerei Vorwärts“ to Rohrteichstraße 35a.

The first four bound pattern books were published.
Josef Anstoetz's nephew, Heinz Anstoetz, began his career with JAB.
1955
Heinz Anstoetz took over the management on the sudden death of the founder.

The fashion for crochet style curtains - which many JAB customers found difficult to make for themselves - proved the final spur to creating the JAB DEKORATIONEN production department.

UNIVAC, the first EDP installation, was put into operation.
1973
Founding of the Italian subsidiary Società Creazioni JAB in Milan and Rome.
1974
JAB Teppiche, offering high-quality carpeting as well as hand-tufted and hand-embroidered carpets, was founded in Herford-Elverdissen.

Founding of JAB International Furnishings in London.
Founding of the Matthias Anstoetz Foundation.

Purchase of a hotel in Winterberg-Altastenberg.
The hotel was rebuilt and also renovated and redecorated using goods produced by the group and was renamed “Berghotel Astenkrone”.
1983
Founding of JAB JOSEF ANSTOETZ AG in Zurich.
1985
Ralph Anstoetz started his career with the company.

Following the company´s 50th jubilee celebrations Heinz Anstoetz gradually retired from his leading role in the company´s operations.

Majority holding in the design-oriented fabrics house Chivasso in the Netherlands.
Minority holding in the exclusive fabrics house Sahco-Hesslein.

A design curtain track system enlarged the company´s product range.
Acquisition of the Thüringer Teppichfabrik Münchenbernsdorf.
Installation of the photo-voltaic system at the Bielefeld headquarters.
2005
Takeover of the brand Gardisette.
At the end of 2005 the company had approx. 1,300 employees worldwide.
2006
The company celebrated its 60th jubilee.
Takeover of the seating furniture manufacturer Interprofil.
2008
Takeover of the brand Johannes Wellmann and its relaunch as “Soleil Bleu“.
JAB Anstoetz was founded in Dubai.

With Hemisphere, JAB ANSTOETZ presented their first panel collection.
Founding of JAB Hungary.
Opening of the JAB ANSTOETZ workplace nursery Jabini.

Introduction of the plissé collection Skyline.
JAB ANSTOETZ gained distribution rights of Alcantara® brand products in some European countries and became sole distributor in Germany.
Takeover of Golf House into the JAB ANSTOETZ Group.
Founding of the House of JAB Moscow.

Founding of the international distribution brand JAB ANSTOETZ Furniture.
Launch of the first edition of the living and lifestyle magazine interia.
Launch of the new JAB ANSTOETZ webshop.

Taking into operation of a new block-type thermal power station fuelled by biogas.
Takeover of the company Golf Zone with 8 subsidiaries in Austria.
Introduction of the roller blind collection meridian.
Takeover of the exclusive furniture brand Hans Kaufeld.
Launch of the textile trade portal i-teria (www.i-teria.com)
Start of the product search machine for the brands JAB ANSTOETZ, Chivasso and Soleil Bleu (www.products.jab.de)
2013
Golf House takes over Golf USA, the market leader in Czech golf sport, and the Munich enterprise Secotex with its chain store and mail order business for golf sport articles.
The JAB ANSTOETZ Group takes over the trademark and distribution rights of ADRAMAQ designer planks and tiles. Adramaq is integrated into the company JAB Teppiche Heinz Anstoetz KG as an independent brand.
With Design Floor LVT, JAB ANSTOETZ includes a new product segment in their portfolio.
