Plytech

Our story began on 1 February 1991, when founders Denis Jaggar and Paul Webber purchased the Silverdale business of Gibson Wood Products. A few months later we shifted to Bowden Road in Mt Wellington. In 2011, we shifted to new premises in Highbrook, and in December 2018 we shifted across the road to new larger purpose-built premises. We have grown from a team of 3 to 25, and have many long-term staff members who have been with us for 10+ and 20+ years. In June 2019, Plytech was sold (enabling Paul and Denis to retire) to an Australian public company called Big River Industries Ltd. This company has been in business for over a 1000 years, manufacturing and distributing plywood and other products now with 12 distribution branches throughout Australia.
