Red Dot Design Award for Neon

Again a design award for Neon! The newest workplace chair from the bimos family doesn’t only proves itself in function, but also in design. After the jury of ’German Design Award’ and ‘DDC (Deutschen Design Counsil)’, the jury of the Red Dot Design award is also convinced by the design of Neon.

The red dot award is a prestigious award that is awarded since 1955 by the German Design ZentrumNordrheinWestfalen in Essen. Prizes are awarded in the categories of product design, design agencies and design concepts. Winning designs are also displayed in the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen. From more than 11,000 entries from over 61 countries Neon was chosen as one of the winners.

1+1: the Neon system The unique selling point of Neon is the concept of two elements: the chair element with base and mechanism and the upholstery element. Both elements can be configured independently and are freely combinable. The upholstery can be replaced in no time by upholstery in a different material or colour. That way you can create a recognizable organization and adjust the upholstery to the type of employee or type of activity. In case of damage, you do not need to dispose of the whole chair.

Neon is a product of bimos, European leading producer of workplace chairs. For more than 50 years we have been developing and manufacturing seating solutions for workplaces outside the office: in production, in ESD areas, in the laboratory, in the clean room, and in any areas where people have to stand to work.

bimosis a brand of Interstuhl. All chairs are made in the factory in Germany, where the brands interstuhl and prosedia are also produced. This award is one in a long series of awards and honors for Interstuhl.
