Located in Foz do Douro, the remodel of this apartment has undergone an adaptation of the original layout, introducing a new dynamic of life. Increasing the contrast between the social areas and the relationship with the landscape, on the one hand and creating some restraint in the private areas of the house, on the other.

In the main entrance, the space created reinforces this intention, driving the vision for the living area and garden. As a matter of visual range the option was not fully close the living area and the dining area and the kitchen. In this sense was created a slatted wood structure that surrounds and encloses the dining room. Besides this structure, the shape of this area is achieved by a marble flooring and the ceiling with plaster work.

The access to the most intimate area of the house is through the narrow hallway that ends in access to rooms where the visual range contrasts with the containment of the previous space.

The floor of this apartment is all done in larch wood taken from a closed factory. The only exceptions to the wood are the entrance, the dining area and the distribution of the rooms, where the choice was a marble floor.

Outside was created a pool and a small living area that extends up to a garden with fruit trees and aromatic plants.
