Burj Daman Apartment

Burj Daman is a cutting edge mixed used development in a prime location in Dubai (DIFC) compromising of a five-star hotel, apartments, retail and offices. This is one of the world’s most coveted locales, overlooking the heartbeat of finance.

Our client invested in a 230 square meters 3 bedroom apartment and approached us to add value and character to generate a distinctive proposition and set it apart from the remaining units. The goal was to create a unique and refined take on metropolitan living, surpassing the expectations of potential buyers and increasing the apartment worth offering unique details and features and upgrading the specifications.

Having set the project goals, the design criteria was to have a creative intervention which is impactful and that this clearly reflects in the buyer’s interest to justify the investment. One of the challenges was creating the profile of the end user in a prolific city like Dubai.

The design had to be appealing to families and couples and cater to the function of modern day environment. The potential buyers would be style conscious, professionally successful, well traveled, with interest in recreation and sports and looking for convenience and comfort. A place ready for them to call home.

The location and the view are unbeatable, with walking distance to the best hotels, restaurants and retail outlets in the city. The proximity to Sheikh Zayed Road makes access to all areas very easy and the iconic Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall are just minutes away. It is a landmark building with a supreme address for business, living, and leisure. The contemporary architecture volumes have delivered on that vision with three towers: a low rise 14-storey office building forming a T-shaped configuration, a 60-storey hotel tower, and a 60-storey, 235-meter high residential tower.

With a 3.3. million square foot build-up area standing on a 220,000 square foot plot, it also houses world-class dining venues - Enoteca Pinchiorri from Florence and Burger&Lobster from London. The three-bedroom apartment is located on the 6th floor, making it the perfect investment for the buyer - location, architecture, convenience, and luxury with yearly increasements in value and designed with timeless taste and elegance.

This is an instrumental space privileged with a fantastic view. We created pockets of areas with a different character for outdoor dining and living so that the user can make the most of the good weather months in Dubai. The tiles were upgraded with a lighter color and the furniture is durable yet stylish Kartell Master chairs by Philippe Starck, customized table with concrete top effect and wicker lounging chairs. Light and fresh, with earthy textures.

Both spaces are connected and have an opening to the kitchen. We have a sophisticated urban living area with a warm and neutral palette accented by green and copper. The flooring was changed to timber and the big rugs add a tranquil softness. The rugs were procured from Ferreira de Sa brand from Portugal. There is a fine balance between wood and metal and the customized chandelier adds a playful note. The bronze mirror was added to add depth to space and all the walls have a layer of Vescom wallcovering. The artwork was commissioned to an artist - Sara Mendes de Almeida - and it creates the perfect perspective as we walk in the space.

The generous proportion allowed us to have an interesting flow and create a seating area with two chaise longues upholstered in Dedar fabrics. Casamance wallcoverings add softness and the curtains are airy and fresh to optimize the day light. The 7 meters wide rug is botanical silk and the fabrics are textured with an interesting combination of patterns and colors. Understated yet refined.

Clean, contemporary and neutral. Greys, beiges, and white create a serene atmosphere with black accents in details. Flexibility was prioritized to give the end user a versatile space to work, read, or relax. There is abundance of natural lighting and connection to a living area pocket on the balcony.

The ultimate guest experience, with one headboard that connects both beds. The Flos floor lights on each side of the beds are functional and aesthetic and the swallows placed on the headboard wall add a sculptural feature to it. The color scheme is joyful with a perfect balance of blues, white and yellow giving the room a fresh and vibrant ambiance. The fabrics are from Designer’s Guild and the rug has a graphic pattern adding harmony to the composition.

A sustainable approach means considering the whole life cycle of a project and therefore improving the functionality, quality, human enjoyment and, in the long term, bringing real social and economic benefits. All of the aspects above have been considered. Led lights, trade fair products, natural finishes and a holistic approach to ensure positive impacts.
