Pedrali collections furnish the first Eataly in Texas
Pedrali collections, perfect expressions of contemporary dining requirements, have been selected to furnish the restaurants of the first Eataly in Dallas, Texas, which opened its doors within the exclusive NorthPark Centre mall.
Eataly, the brainchild of the businessman Oscar Farinetti, is a chain of medium-size and large stores specialised in sales and distribution of Italian food shaped up to be the reference point for quality Italian food abroad. Built on three level with an area of almost 46.000 square foot, the emporium in Dallas offers a distinctive and contemporary experience hosting 10.000 products, a cooking school and three different restaurants, all inspired by the diversity of Italy’s regional cuisines.
Located on the main floor, “La Pizza & La Pasta” and “Il Pastaio” offer the authentic Neapolitan pizza experience coupled with housemade regional pasta dishes prepared fresh daily. For “Il Pastaio” Pedrali Malmö and Babila barstools have been selected. The first ones, by CMP Design, evoke warmth sensations thanks to the touch of ash wood, the tapered look and the appeal of tradition. Lightweight and elegant, the upholstered shell makes them particularly comfortable. Babila barstools, designed by Odo Fioravanti, are characterised by a simple, direct and timeless shape. Made of ash wood with tapered legs that perfectly join the plywood seat, they feature a die-cast aluminium footrest and are here proposed in the version with upholstered seat. The barstools of the same collection, in the backrest version, belong in “La Pizza & La Pasta” restaurant. Babila barstool with backrest evokes classic forms, while staying true to its nature, seemingly treading the line between tradition and innovation. The soft, harmonious silhouette of the curved upholstered shell features a chamfered element that defines its profile, giving it an ergonomic shape. The ash wood tapered legs are joined together by a die-cast aluminium ring that acts as a footrest. Nym Soft chair, by CMP Design, adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to the restaurant. The seating, whose key feature lies in the different densities of the polyurethane foam padding, is comfortable and welcoming. Nemea chairs, designed by CMP Design, complete the setting. Their design recalls the idea of a classic gracefulness thanks to the slender legs in solid ash wood inserted into die-cast aluminium frame places under the seat. Inox tables, simple and functional, perfectly fit in both spaces thanks to their geometry.
On the third floor, Terra is a wood-burning grill rooftop restaurant. Its key features – earth, nature and fire – can be found within this space suggesting a direct relationship between the client, the product, its origin and its processing. Heart of Terra is an open barbecue grill, where the warmth of fire and the smell of the ingredients cooked light up the environment with warmth, cosiness and taste. Fox Soft armchairs have been chosen for this place. Designed by Patrick Norguet, they feature a distinctive personality defined by a harmonious mixture of materials, dear to the 100% Made in Italy company. The slim shaped shell is upholstered in leather and embraced by a backrest in bent ash wood with rounded ends. The warmth of ash wood also rises from Nym armchairs by CMP Design, with upholstered seat. A solid ash wood collection which reviews English traditional Windsor chairs with a contemporary style where the curved profile of the backrest designs an uninterrupted arch that perfectly joins the seat of solid ash wood and turns into an armrest on the armchair. Nolita barstools, designed by CMP Design and entirely made of steel, assure great stability while conveying elegance and modernity to the outdoors. They are paired with cast-iron Bistrot table.
