By creating a captivating infrastructure between Haarby School and the local sports facilities, a more active flow and use is encouraged around the buildings.
The red pavement running from the entrance of the school to the adjacent sportshall, engages the students in a range of different physical activities, so that the school not only is a place of education, but of exercise and play.
URBAN POWER were the design architects of the Haarby Skole Plus transformation.
Creating flawless links between learning and exercising, the renovation of Haarby school facilitates a healthy and fun day for the students.
By creating a visual connection with the colour red, the many play functions are highlighted, while also providing a route through the school grounds to other local facilities, such as the sportshall.
Outside lessons and performances are made possible in the amphitheatre and reading can be done in private caves in the library. The play equipment both inside and out features a slide, spiderwebs, slopes, ropes, a pillow pit with swings and trampolines.
