Imperial College London, Dyson School of Design Engineering

The design of the Dyson School of Design Engineering acts as a catalyst for innovation and entrepreneurship.

The new Dyson School of Design Engineering at Imperial College London, founded with support from the James Dyson Foundation, provides contemporary learning facilities for undergraduate, masters and doctoral research students.

The school, dedicated to engineering innovation and entrepreneurship, is part of the Faculty of Engineering and runs two master’s programmes with the Royal College of Art, establishing a consolidated hub for creative minds.

The BREEAM rated design for the flagship facility brings life to the redundant historic building, which was acquired from the Science Museum.

The refurbishment and reconfiguration of the space provides teaching and research facilities including flexible workshops, design labs, exhibition space, open forum lecture areas and a cafeteria in the public realm.
