LEH - LENDHAFEN

Studio WG3 en tant que Architectes.

An important trading center in Graz is the LENDHAFEN, a place of exchange where creativity can flourish. The integration of future users was a central concern for us in the development of the LENDHAFEN.

Room divider which organizes the space and also has an acoustical function. Furniture which can be equipped in different ways. Because of the flexibility, it is possible to arrange countless different ways of furnishing in a very short time.

The Lendhafen is constitutes a place, where information gets produced, arrives and is further sent out to the world – a space where the economy of Graz catches up. A place designed for diverse events like lectures, seminars, workshops, trainings, presentations as well as exhibitions. All those events have different needs with regard to the staging.

The following ideas were implemented in the room concept:

All walls are writable surfaces – therefore the LENDHAFEN has the biggest WHITEBOARD in the city of Graz. The entire event location can be organized by using only two room separators with a diameter of 5.8 meters. Depending on the occasion of the event, the room separators define the suitable stage as well as the perfect lighting and are equipped with three acoustically effective curtains. Six rollable and foldable furniture pieces are combined with the curtains – the principles call them the sailors.
