On the island of Mykonos, a special space of high aesthetics was created to host the store of the jewelry house “Poniros”.
Each jewel of the house tells a unique story which was a source of inspiration for the architectural design in this particular project.

Due to the narrow floor plan, our priority was to create a sense of comfort without losing sight of a boutique store concept. This is achieved by dividing the space into two sections through a gentle arch that acts as a passage, creating two imaginary functional zones. The arch and its special hidden lighting, marks the transition from the front - commercial part of the jewelry store to the back - more private part used for jewelry sampling. White tones dominate the space as well as the mirror element, functioning as a design trick in order to visually expand the interior space of the store.

The discrete additions in the first area seem as if they come out of a solid marble volume, as the side interior facades of the shop have been clad in travertine silver marble.

Emphasis was placed on the use of natural materials in harmony with the atmosphere of the island and the Cycladic elements. The curve, an integral part of the design, is used both as a basic element that separates the store into two zones, and as an addition in details on its furniture.

A point of reference is the central solid piece of travertine silver marble that looks like it was carved out of a rock. It is a piece of furniture made of carved marble that gives the feeling of the waves that carve the rocks in the natural landscape of the island.

The wavy paneling in the background of the store in the brand's characteristic blue color, offers a unique touch to the identity of the jewelry store.
The color choice of the face of the shop is white as the Cycladic style mandates.
The design philosophy was based on the creation of a simple refreshing atmosphere, in harmony with the architecture of the island. The clean lines with an emphasis on detail, the choice of natural materials and the curved element compose a space that is intimate, while exuding the luxury that is reflected in each piece of jewelry.
