Sephora is one of the world’s leading beauty products retailers, with strong brand profile and market presence in 24 countries. Founded in 1970, the Paris based firm entered the U.S. in 1997 and seven years later brought its unique concept to Canada. Quadrangle was asked to assist Sephora in designing their flagship Toronto Eaton Centre store, followed by locations across the country. Drawing on deep experience with multinational retailers, the design team took European store formats created for smaller footprints and reinvented them to suit Canadian retail environments and shopping tastes. The collaboration with Sephora has been so successful that many design features have since been adapted in Europe as well.
