T House in Meguro

Marriage of structure and surrounding environment


The main fromework is a combination of rigid framing consists of two walls located on sides and cantilevered light withgt thin floor slabs, and this structure makes it possible to take the maximum view of its frontal road. Ground floor level was set higher than the street level in order to let the light go into basement through areaway, and creating an entrance approach fits in its neat housing estate.


Sunny and open living space A bed room on third floor is surrounded by window and balcony in three direction. Guardrails on this floor is made out of galvanized steel to emphasize its presence.


Bathroom window for cherry blossom through living space A glass partition of the bathroom was derived from the client's request of 'We would love to see cherry blossom from the bath'. A row of cherry trees can be seen from the bathtub. Most importantly, no one will be able to see you from outside
