Yesterday afternoon with great interest the opening of four apartment buildings on the outskirts of Duingeest, popularly called the “Cruises”, took place.
Proudly the residents let the many interested take a look at their bright and spacious apartments.
Obviously the penthouses, with their beautiful terraces and stunning views over the sea, could count on most admiring glances. But also the other apartments attracted large crowds. Some non-Dutch allure characterizes the entire complex. Allure that starts at ground level, where the parking is hidden in the dunes. As a result, the lower apartments are lifted and embedded in the dunes, enjoying nature with the hares, which have found their way here already.
The blocks owe their nickname to the magnificent outdoor areas that curl like the decks of a ship around the apartments. The horizontal lines provide the blocks elegance, and make one long for faraway destinations. The curved corners seem to soften and reduce the volumes. With heir timeless appearance they insert themselves seamlessly into the varied dune and landscape architecture. As proud cruises they seem to berth in the South Holland dunes, with their stem firmly and proudly towards the North Sea.
