Created in partnership with Sino Group, Time Loop is an installation designed for Hong Kong’s Yue Man Square. It takes inspiration from the rich history of the surrounding Kwun Tong district, created as an infinite loop that echoes the constant change and pace of life in the city.
Passersby can sit on the artwork, which frames views of the surrounding architecture and is engraved with an ‘infinite’ poem reflecting on the passage of time.
“I can’t wait to see the human form bringing life to the artwork. When people sit on Time Loop they become part of the movement of the city, as well as its transformation. It reflects a place that’s endured for many years but remains constantly moving and evolving. And that’s the symbolism of the form,” says Paul Cocksedge.
The piece is a gift from Sino Group to Hong Kong as the company celebrates its 50th anniversary, and is made from sustainably sourced timber.
