Conception of airport assumption with the project of terminal in Toruń.

The new building of passenger terminal. has been divided on three functional zones: widely available, passenger and technical-office. A widely available zone is firstly a vestibule, departure halls and of arrivals with information-service posts and observation deck. A passenger zone is a space only for travelling. It’s consisting of departure hall with service establishments, an observation deck and arrivals hall with the zone of the baggage reclaim. The technical-office zone is a airlock betweeen the others zones. It was planning sorting of luggage, holding for the staff, the technical room, the control of the safety and the administrative part here. The whole is placed on three storeys (including one underground). The object apart from the functional arrangement legible and thought over, first of all is characterized by an original form. Unusual form of the roof - the steel net filled up with glass, unbuttoned on gigantic girders is amazing not just from the outside, but also in the interior, constituting the tool for the game of the light and shade.

Also complete functional system has been designed for the entire airport assumption. Apart from the passenger terminal a function was also predicted cargo, air base medical and national and the entire necessary infrastructure. The application of many novel technical, architectural and construction solutions and consistent functional arrangement of the assumption make a complex gives long guarantee of architectural and urban quality.
