On the third floor of a building located in the industrial neighbourhood of Gracia, Barcelona, the new headquarter office for creative advertising agency Fuego Camina Conmigo Barcelona offers a dynamic and multipurpose space where architecture and geometric forms take centre stage in a playful atmosphere that emphasizes art and creativity. The space also serves as a new showroom for the furniture brand SANCAL.

The renovation project, which was undertaken by Isern Serra Studio, includes meeting rooms with support spaces including the kitchen, bathroom and storage, an agora zone for informal meetings and calls, and finally, a permanent work zone for 44 people.

The interior space is divided according to zones with more private areas located to the back of the office, the agora meeting zone in the centre, and functional service space towards the entrance.
Moving away from the glass enclosures and cloistered conditions of many conventional office spaces, here the closed areas take shape as moments of ‘micro architecture’ that interact with one another. Circular openings are carved out to form doors and windows, allowing light to circulate throughout the space.

Conceived as a multipurpose space, the kitchen can accommodate up to thirty people at the same time. The entrance to the kitchen is marked by a large circular opening with glass sliding doors. The colour palette is largely white, like the rest of the space, including white tiled countertops and a white finish to the cupboards. The cupboards also include curving handles that mirror the architectural curves of the main space.

In total there are five different meetings rooms, one large room to host twelve people, and four that are more private. Openings and windows into each room optimize the amount of light that enters. Different ceiling levels emphasize not only the height of the space but also reveal unique metallic beams. The furniture of each room was carefully selected from SANCAL.

The Agora is the most dynamic space of the project. Two large, metallic, mobile steps anchor the space, with small islands generated with the use of coloured carpets, sofas, tables and other furniture pieces from SANCAL. Designed to host improvised meetings, each island is treated with a distinct colour palette and with fabrics specially selected for each zone.

The final, and most private space features four large custom-made tables by ‘fusteriavidal’. Each table can host up to eleven people. Reinforcing the sculptural concept of the space, the tables feature circular details and are supported by glass blocks.
