The process. The Butterfly concept was developed over a two year period experimenting with countless metal fabrication techniques. Each individual piece takes approximately three weeks to complete, in a process much akin to making jewlery.
The chair’s frame is cast from one single piece without the use of soldering or joints. This is an incredibly difficult and complicated endeavor that very few others in the world could accomplish.
Each piece is personalized. Our designs and metalwork processes allow us to make each piece with distinct textures, engravings and finishes to reflect the unique spirit of its owner.
Though the Butterfly Chair can be made from a number of different materials, we recommend aluminum because of its weight and resistance.
