CHC New Hospital in Liège

CHC New Hospital in Liège

This new hospital will combine the hospital activities of St Joseph clinic (Liège), the Espérance clinic (Montegnée) and the St Vincent clinic (Rocourt) in order to offer a complete range of health care services. The accommodation part (764 beds) is constituted of 7 cruciform buildings. This architecture allows a room distribution that favours the views outside while making the work of the nurses easier (the nurse's station is in the middle of the cross. The well being of the visitor also counts among the priorities, and this concept allows creating spaces to relax and to meet at each junction.

The setting in L shape along the medical building guarantees to manage the movement of the patients. The central location of the medical building also allows future extensions. The functional revalidation centre as well as the emergency room will also be integrated into this central area of the hospital. The consultations will take place on the ground floor, at the same level as a well-animated street with retail and relax spaces. The underground parking lot foresees 1750 slots.
