CNBC-e STUDIO DESIGN BY BAB ARCHITECTS

The Istanbul studio of CNBC-e, a television channel focusing on business, finance, and entertainment, which made a strong comeback in Turkey under the umbrella of İlbak Holding, was designed by BAB Architects. The studio’s interior design embraces the concept of "economy under the peacock roof," making the most of the technological possibilities available.

Under the leadership of architect İrem Arıbaş, interior architect Hüseyin Beş, and interior architect Yurdaer Beş, BAB Architects designed the Istanbul studio for CNBC-e, a television channel that made a strong return to broadcasting in Turkey under the umbrella of İlbak Holding. The project, developed during the channel’s restructuring process to ensure its powerful comeback on Turkish television screens, was shaped with the concept of "economy under the peacock roof," making the most of the technological opportunities available.

The existing load-bearing structure at the center of the studio was transformed from a potential architectural disadvantage into a design advantage by reimagining it as the focal point of the design, represented by an illustrated peacock figure, symbolizing the company’s logo. The central set in the studio was elevated using a platform, creating a distinct space within the larger environment. Based on this focal point, the studio was designed to accommodate eight different filming perspectives within a single volume, ensuring flexibility for various program formats.

The CNBC-e Studio, designed by BAB Architects, was equipped with LED and decorative lighting technologies to adapt to different content concepts, creating a versatile and dynamic environment. Various elements such as metal-formed lighting panels, LED and decorative lighting fixtures, custom-made metal furniture details, plexiglass panels, and LED screens were harmoniously integrated to design a dynamic rhythm within the space. These elements collectively completed the studio's visual and functional infrastructure.
