The house is set up in a former biscuit factory that occupies the whole of the 50x10 m plot. The inner volume, almost without light, had no view of the outside.
Part of the roof is removed in order to create an intramural garden that allows natural light to enter the area and to create views. In the central area the roof tiles are replace by transparent polycarbonate sheeting in order to create a winter garden which, aside from its agreeableness, provides light for the rooms and defines the distribution of the house. This garden is mainly ventilated by the roof opening panels. The glazed facades giving onto the interior and exterior gardens create transparency from one end to the other of the plot.
The house is a sequence of contrasting, generous spaces. One enters it from the street by crossing a huge, dark garage, then a succession of spaces, either left as before or else refitted.
