The Socioenvironmental Institute (ISA) is a non-governmental organization whose goal is to defend social, collective, and diffuse rights and assets related to the environment, cultural heritage, and the rights of indigenous peoples in Brazil.

Since 1994, ISA has been operating with a traditional structure, but in 2021, it underwent a significant change in leadership that brought new proposals for the way they work. These changes also reflected in the physical spaces, which are now designed to encourage interactions among people and not just serve as a workplace, especially with the implementation of hybrid work.

The project's concept stems from ISA's essence, the human relationships in the work they do, and the deep connection with the environment. Thus, the environment, along with the culture of indigenous peoples, was the project's approach.

The office was designed in a dynamic manner, creating open and collaborative spaces among work areas to encourage interaction among the entire team. Moreover, the created spaces seek to bring indigenous culture and nature into the built environment, whether through the use of natural materials or handmade products created by indigenous peoples.

As such, the project combines functionality with culture, connecting people with the space and their daily lives, bringing indigenous culture and nature into the workplace environment.
