Mauboussin at Mandarin Galleries, Orchard Road in Singapore is the first store installation in Asia/Pacific of a new global brand design conceived by Regis Pean of Omni//form. The new look reflects on the fashion sensibility and self-confidence of today’s female shopper by inviting her into a fairy tale dream of unexpected moments and the innovative use of luxury materials, textures and color:
Set up as sequences of discovery Mauboussin’s fine jewelry and watch collection is presented in high lacquered treasure boxes and jewelry bars that graciously float on thin tapered legs in front of eccentric interior backgrounds reminiscent of traditional French interiors. Conceived as a surreal residential scene the new store features unexpected and extravagant materials such as lacquered walls in deep Aubergine color with traditional molding made from bands of satin ruffle, pearlescent and golden walls with moldings made from delicate lace and panels covered in white down feathers, satins and pearl leathers. Infinity mirrors display cabinets in rose champagne glass are set into the walls to create a rhythmic composition.
The main salon features in its center four luxurious and comfortable seating areas with oversized tufted French looking sofas and chairs, separated by large fans of white long ostrich feathers. A dropped glowing ceiling made from tufted white tulle fabric creates a private and comfortable atmosphere for customers to be shown jewelry.
The scene is setup on a rich Aubergine cerused wooden floor throughout the store.
