On the southern outskirts of San Miguel de Allende, Casa SMA emerges, a 694 m2 housing complex and hotel to connect with its arid and mountainous nature. The massiveness of the volumes, as if they were carved by the erosion of time, governed by the existing vegetation, dialogue with their surroundings, creating routes to the exterior without looking for a specific finish, but guided to a central atmosphere that embraces and protects those who inhabits the environment.

The silence, can demonstrate how human a person is by being alone with the breeze of the wind, the leaves of the trees hitting each other, the murmur of insects, and other auditory pleasures that nature provides, this occurs at Casa SMA, an environment to rediscover internally, to awaken the soul, to remember what is human.

The location was governed by nature, which was sought to be respected at all times since it was fortunate that species such as mesquites, garambullos, biznagas, and palo dulce, among other protagonists, were found on the land. During the night, a totally different atmosphere is created, with the starry sky as the protagonist, with the upper terraces being a space that provides this nocturnal link with the protagonist.

There are five volumes that make up the hotel, giving a result of 8 rooms, 2 of them with terrace and integrated jacuzzi, especially to spend the nights in this space, which is when you can appreciate the clear night sky thanks to the area in which it is located. On the other hand, the communal kitchen is shared with the house, a space that establishes social relations and serves as the connection nucleus between the hotel and the house.
