The Singapore EDITION and Boulevard 88 provide a tranquil escape amid Singapore’s bustling Orchard Boulevard shopping district. The project combines a pair of 28-story residential towers with a newly opened 204-room hotel, the latest to launch under EDITION Hotels. Boulevard 88 and The Singapore EDITION join an international portfolio of hospitality projects by Safdie Architects acclaimed for creating generous connections to nature within dense urban environments.

Theme and Variation
Boulevard 88 and The Singapore EDITION builds on Safdie Architects’ development of a new urban typology characterized by its interconnectedness. Multiple skyparks that give the project its distinctive form span and physically unite the project’s two programs—residential units and hotel. The uniqueness of the project’s assembly marks the latest evolution of Safdie Architects’ skypark concept that was first introduced as a reimagined public space at Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort (Singapore); as an enclosed conservatory at Raffles City Chongqing (China); and as a design strategy for knitting together structures at multiple levels at Sky Habitat (Singapore).

The Singapore EDITION - Interiors & Amenities
Safdie Architects and the Ian Schrager Company created a harmonious dialogue between The Singapore EDITION’s architectural character and its interior design. The building’s emphasis on the integration of nature and abundance of daylight is further enhanced by the organic color palette, natural materials (stone and wood), and serenity of its indoor spaces. The Singapore EDITION’s white marbled lobby is contrasted by a stunning domed ceiling covered with gold leaf. From the lobby, a sculpted, white Venetian plaster staircase spirals down to a dramatic bar lounge. In every guest room, warm white rugs cover custom white oak floors while decorative pots of orchids and thick drapes frame the broad windows. The rooms also feature deepseated sofas, and hand-sewn damask throws for the beds. EDITION’s first hotel in Southeast Asia, the 204-room.
property features:
► Four restaurant and bar venues, including:
• FYSH at EDITION by internationally acclaimed chef Josh Niland featuring ethically sourced seafood and fish dishes in a modern-age steakhouse environment
• The Lobby Bar, a space sheathed in sharp pink velvet featuring a rose-colored pool table of Calacatta marble and an oversized pink backlit bar display
• A bar lounge at the garden courtyard level for pre-dinner aperitifs and late evening cocktails. An inconspicuous side-door leads to the adjoining Punch Room speakeasy
lounge
► 681 square meters of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space at the garden courtyard level
► A 1,500-square-meter skybridge and communal terrace with access to a 50-meter swimming pool, sun deck, and outdoor bar and lounge
► Spa located on the second floor featuring seven treatment rooms, changing suites with sunken vitality thermal pools, an ice fountain, relaxation lounge, sauna, steam room, and gym

Separate Togetherness
Residents of Boulevard 88 have a separate private entrance on the opposite side of the site from the hotel. Perched on tall columns, the towers’ lowest levels soar above the hotel. This approach provides both residents and hotel guests with privacy and a unique experience of the compact site. Extending Moshe Safdie’s beautifully simple metaphor, “For everyone a garden,” each residence features gracious treeplanted
balconies, which are staggered across the façade to offer expansiveness and connections with the sky. Daylight and breezes suffuse unit interiors through sliding doors and operable windows.

High Above It All
On the roof of the residences, a spacious skypark packed with amenities links the 28-story residential towers. Residents can take in spectacular views of the city from
interior and exterior lounge spaces or the infinity pool, which extends the full length of the skypark and overlooks the hotel courtyard below. The bridge truss structure
that supports the garden skypark contains four unique penthouse apartments—each with a plunge pool that offers a unique perspective on the city.
