Installation for the 150° Anniversary of italian unification.

Together with the accurate intervention of communication signs of the appreciable places of the city architects Lupi, Migliore and Servetto conceived and designed a bright significant installation on the Mole Antonelliana, the main landmark of Torino, first italian capital city.

In this impressive lighting installation, the Italian flag is summarized in three bright rectangular frames with white, red and green LED light (supported by Philips and LucePlan).

These 168 meters long rings, flicking floating on the dome at a height of 80-100 meters, are visible from around the city and the hills around. Enlightened by night, the surface of the rings, 168 meters long, becomes a brilliant Italian flag. The Mole Antonelliana, with this sort of collier of bright rings, becomes a strong resumptive symbol of the celebration.

Italo Lupi, Ico Migliore and Mara Servetto, Italian architects, won the competition for the LOOK OF THE CITY of Torino 150°, a special urban outfit on the occasion of the celebration for the 150th anniversary of Italy's Unification

The "Look of the City" dresses the city of Torino  with banners and construction site sheets and contributes in order to mark the big communication routes, starting from the entering road to the city. The project had a very diffuse application over all the city from the suburbs to the city center.

It created episodes, all deeply interconnected, with a powerfull communicative force, moving upwards from pedestrian level to roads to the overall perspectives panorama.
