This is a ground up townhouse in the Upper West Side of New York City. We dug down 18' into bedrock to create space for a basketball court, high def golf simulator, gym and home office below the house, and built a new, 5-story townhouse on top. It features 10′ and taller ceilings on every floor, elevator, and rooftop terrace. The ground floor windows and entry doors are set within a deep limestone base, and the upper facade is buff brick with projecting window lintels and sills in zinc.
