A Mecca for design professionals and enthusiasts globally, the 2024 Salone del Mobile took place from 16 – 21 April at Milan’s Rho Fiera fairgrounds. The event saw an increase in visitor numbers of more than twenty percent compared with 2023 as well as an increase in the number of trade operators. A key date on the international design calendar, Salone — alongside the wider Milan Design Week — continues to capture the imagination, provoke debate, forge new connections, and test the soles of tired feet.
Archello was in attendance at the 2024 Salone del Mobile and had the opportunity to discover numerous products across a range of design categories, many of which stood out. In addition to the main furniture fair, this year it was the turn of the EuroCucina / FTK - Technology for the Kitchen and International Bathroom Exhibition biennials. During the event, it was possible to discern a number of key themes, including: the focus on natural materials, craftsmanship, and sustainability; a spotlight on the future with an emphasis on conscious consumption; the value of modular and customizable design; and design for domestic spaces with an architectural flair.
