Nutri Bowl, specialised in cold-pressed juices, and Nutri Bowl, pioneer in healthy to-go meals, are joining forces in a new roll-out concept. Ninetynine was asked to develop a modular, scalable shop-in-shop concept which resulted in an inverted island bar which brings the customer – and not the staff – to the heart of the brand-controlled environment.
The design is based on a grid of 40x30x30 cm blocks. The size literally refers to the optimal 40/30/30 - protein/carbohydrates/fat - ratio provided by the power series of Nutri Bowl. The basic grid is projected onto the floor as a tiled surface, and is separated from the walls of the space. An L-shaped counter and a free-standing block that serves as a table are constructed from the blocks on the grid. The space between the L-counter and walls accommodates the work space for the staff, while the tiled surface facilitates contact between customers and staff. Guests who want to enjoy their juice or healthy meal straight away are welcome to use seats by the counter and around the island.
The island is made from just two materials. A white 40x30cm tile from the Mosa Solids series is featured on the floor and counters. The latter is further equipped with a white composite top. This neutral, contemporary look puts the spotlight on the fresh and colourful ingredients and products for which both brands are known. Steel tube frames above the counter highlight the menus and feature a variety of green plants.
