Pirelli Tower

Designed and produced for the most famous of the buildings designed by architect Gio Ponti, the Pirelli skyscraper (1955-60), the Lama handle is an undisputed masterpiece of modern design, an object that took on the importance of a universally known and appreciated archetype all over the world. In order to enhance the absolute modernity of the building, it was designed and prototyped together with Cono and Ring around the mid-fifties by virtue of the fruitful professional relationship established between Ponti and Ernesto Olivari. Characterized by the essentiality and the harmonic line which join hub and lever, the handle, which in origin was produced both with brass and - as for the Pirelli - with aluminum, has being present uninterruptedly in the Olivari catalog since then.
