This is where we start from when we browse through the 2023 catalog of new products showcased in Milano.
And it begins with two products made in collaboration with Studio rrooo – José Reyes, a Toronto based Architect Studio. At the Molinari Design booth (Hall 18 Stand C05) it’s possible to admire Andrea, a wooden armchair that perfectly blends form and function from every angle. Andrea embodies a seamless union of form and function, evident from every perspective. The chair's backrest and arms converge into a singular piece, gracefully defined by a continuous curve. Four slanted cylindrical legs provide the frame, ingeniously securing the backrest and seat with dowels to eliminate any visible hardware. The seat's design is artfully molded to harmonize with the shape of the dowels, generating a subtle yet cohesive bond between the various elements. Andrea is a testament to elegant design, skillfully crafted to offer a refined and sophisticated seating experience. Together with the Andrea armchair Molinari Design is proud to present Carlomagno, a new sculptural solid wooden table designed by Studio rrooo. Two compact, secure legs support a majestic table in the version featuring sandblasted solid ash that has been stained nut.
“Finding the special in the ordinary through intentional design by elevating small, daily moments” is the motto of José Reyes. Inspired by the unconventional, Reyes loves to challenge established parameters when approaching a new project. He has an ease of trusting his instincts with little regard for the perception of trends, which manifests into creative designs that push boundaries. Still, intention and purpose remain at the core of his work to create bold, yet sophisticated designs.
