A fabric with a wow effect: “Arik”, the new upholstery fabric from Création Baumann in Langenthal enters as a shimmering chameleon. The new product in Trevira CS has the beauty and handling qualities of a wool fabric and beguiles with a subtle, yet mesmerising interplay with colours. In the yarn dyed fabric the design team blended up to three different colours for warp and weft giving the colours additional depth. Depending on incoming light and angle, the perceived picture alternates between dots, lines and diagonals. The colour palette ranges from natural hues to contemporary colours. It encompasses 27 colours. In addition to natural colours, which include contemporary cold and warm shades of grey – intense blue, green and red tones are setting trendy accents. The fabric possesses flame-retardant and sound absorbing properties, which in conjunction with its exceptional abrasion resistance make it ideal for the office environment.
