BASIS RHO is the first translucent Neoterrazzo. Contemporary art and architecture fuse when Studio Jeschkelanger composes multicoloured glass fragments like brush strokes into a fine concrete matrix. The polyfunctional surface material, handmade in Berlin, can be used to design unique rooms, as wall or floor tiles, but also for interiors and objects. For the latest edition EMBSSD, large BASIS RHO elements are cut into square panels, which are arranged to form a new image. A translucent installation on the wall makes the surface glow with a high-contrast effect by the juxtaposition of different glass block colours on the tiles edges.
