Design that takes a plunge
This is not the first time Diabla has jumped in at the deep end with their daring designs that defy conventions. This time the proposal has become literal with the launch of an upholstered inflatable lounger that can be transformed into a daybed thanks to a thermo-lacquered aluminium structure that comes with it.
This is CACAO, the new enfant terrible of the outdoor furniture firm that breaks the rules and rejects labels. Lounger, lilo, daybed, informal bed for naps... This design by Ana Segovia and Luis Calabuig from Odosdesign studio is an invitation to enjoy the most fun outdoor pleasures. And it does so through an irresistible design reminiscent of a chocolate bar. This is where it gets its name.
In CACAO, everything is surprising: it inflates and deflates easily and adapts to all outdoor spaces in a surprising way, without overlooking the functionality of the design. “We wanted to experiment with inflatables from another, more sophisticated point of view”, explains Ana.
The mattress is made of white PVC and the texture powder-coated aluminium structure - which offers a range of up to 7 colors - is removable for easy transport from the beach to the pool and storage in winter.
CACAO is both fun and relaxing, the best combination for summer.
