Cue, Mirror Etch Table

Cue, Mirror Etch Table, 2013, Designed by Jane Briggs & Christy Cole. Executed on silver mirror, the geometric table top patterns experiment with collage and three dimensional semblances as a means to be pressed and repeated onto another surface. Akin to a lithographic printing block, the designs look at the potentiality of creating the sensation of optical depth by cutting and displacing imagery. Through a combination of handcrafted and technological processes, the additive layers within the surfaces include tape, collage and enamel - a process resulting in the implied three dimensionality of a two dimensional image.
