The Folded Poetry Collection by Eliza Redmann is a multi-dimensional symbol of her experience recovering from traumatic brain injury. Inspired by her altered experience of reality post brain injury, the collection’s Diad, Hexad, and Triad designs feature directionally scattered surfaces that not only disperse and absorb sound waves but also visually mimic disorientation. These designs can be arranged either individually or in combination to create limitless customizable patterns, meeting the needs of a variety of spatial applications. Crafted from PET, Folded Poetry addresses both aesthetic and acoustic challenges by reducing auditory overwhelm while offering a dynamic, multi-dimensional reflection of Eliza’s recovery journey, where art and functionality converge.
