Limetec Cement-Free, Pre-Mixed, Moderately Hydraulic Lime Mortar HLM2.5 is a natural, lime-based, cement-free mortar supplied as a factory-controlled dry blend of natural hydraulic lime and selected aggregates for masonry use, including brickwork, blockwork, bedding, pointing, and repointing. It is mixed with water on site and available in a range of factory-controlled colours and aggregate grades.
Compared with conventional cement mortars, hydraulic lime mortars are produced with lower embodied carbon and the hydraulic lime component continues to absorb CO2 during curing, contributing to reduced lifecycle emissions. The product supports breathable construction and can be reworked on site for up to 24 hours. Its formulation aligns with sustainability considerations in modern masonry, including reduced embodied carbon in production and support for circular economy outcomes through recyclability at end of life.
