JAKU does not pursue perfection — it em- braces the beauty of what evolves over time. Inspired by the philosophy of wabi-sabi, Peter Fehrentz translates impermanence, materiality, and irregularity into a sculptural object of quiet presence.
The ceramic supports form an almost archa- ic base. Their coarse, vivid surfaces result from a high chamotte content and traditional craftsmanship—each piece unique. In its oval version, JAKU unfolds a strong, almost archi- tectural tension.
Made in Portugal, the table combines arti- sanal depth with formal clarity. JAKU is not a loud statement, but an object of lasting, quiet authority.
