Key Epoxy Terrazzo is a 100 percent solids, two-component epoxy resin terrazzo flooring system. This thin-set system, available in ¼-inch (≈ 6 mm) or ⅜-inch (≈ 9 mm) thicknesses, combines a pigmented epoxy resin with decorative aggregates like marble, glass, and mother-of-pearl.
Designed for high durability and wear resistance, Key Epoxy Terrazzo offers a low life-cycle cost and inhibits bacterial growth. Conductive or novolac formulations are available for specialized environments. The trowel-applied system requires a prepared substrate and can incorporate crack isolation/waterproofing membranes. Grinding, polishing, and sealing create the final finish.
A "Green" version utilizes zero-VOC epoxy resin and recycled aggregates, contributing to LEED credits. Additional LEED contributions come from low maintenance, durability, and regional sourcing potential.
