Design as memory: conceptual simplicity and influences tied to childhood memories inspired the design of the Lee armchair and settee. The solid wood structure – in ash and Canaletto walnut – is entirely hand-crafted, as are the woven backrest and seat made of paper rush cord. This old-fashioned but completely natural material with excellent resistance to wear is revived here as a tribute to tradition, with the satisfaction of creating something that will last a lifetime and be passed down to the next generations. Both the Lee armchair and settee offer the option of adding soft cushions with removable upholstery.
