Machard is a sculptural table, with hourglass-shaped metal bases that lend it a sense of dynamism and lightness.
The bases – one for the round table version, two for the rectangular and barrel-shaped versions – are “woven” with taut ropes that partially wrap around them, forming rays that alternate upwards and downwards and create an optical illusion in which the table appears to float.
This skilful weaving becomes the distinctive decorative feature of the design.
The rope finish is available in red, green, grey, mud and mélange, allowing the table to be characterised with bolder or more subtle accents, and is paired with tops in glass (clear, smoked or bronzed), marble (in all types from the Flou collection) and, for the round version only, in wood.
