The new Marlon Dining Chair receives iF Design Award 2018
The new Marlon Dining Chair in solid wood has received the internationally famed iF Design Award 2018! This is the second iF Award for the Marlon Collection after receiving it for the Marlon Lounge Chair in 2015.
The Marlon Collection is designed by the Munich-based designer Alexander Rehn.
The Marlon Dining Chair is completely made by hand in Germany, in solid wood, also the seat and the swung back. The chair’s outstanding characteristics are the wide and deep back rest, as well as its generously sized seat. The seat as well as the back rest have a complex ergonomic shape, which results in an unparalleled seating comfort. The Marlon Solid Wood Chair combines both: a correct posture while having a meal, as well as relaxed positions for those long talks at the table afterwards.
The chair is available in various wood and colour versions: American walnut, European maple, oak, oak stained in four colours: White, Aqua, Petrol, and Black.
The Marlon Dining Table looks sleek, almost transparent thanks to its frameless design. The tapered edges add to the light appearance. The result is maximum leg room. The octagonal legs are the common design element to be found across the entire Marlon collection. The Marlon Dining Table comes in various sizes; also custom sizes are possible; the wood options are American walnut or European oak.
