MDF Remade by Convert A/S is a recycled wood-based board material made from MDF waste and end-of-life products from the furniture and construction industries. The material transforms discarded MDF into new boards and ready-to-use tabletops, offering an alternative use for a material stream that is often incinerated.
Developed and produced in Denmark, MDF Remade is made from 100 percent recycled MDF materials. Its production process is dry, with no added water, and uses green energy. According to its Environmental Product Declaration, the product is made from recycled MDF and a plastic binder, with no formaldehyde-containing glue added during the process.
The material supports circular design strategies by retaining value within an existing waste stream and reducing reliance on virgin board materials. Its visibly recycled composition also gives the board a distinct material character, allowing the history of the recovered MDF to remain legible in interior applications, furniture elements, and bespoke fittings. MDF Remade is supported by Environmental Product Declarations through EPD Danmark, including versions with and without melamine.
