Always in perfect daylight

Professional lighting control made easy with myPI-LED from LUMITECH

The interactive and playful use of light colours has been widely known since the advent of smart home lamp systems. The fact that LUMITECH's myPI-LED makes it so easy and intuitive to handle professional and complex human-centric lighting solutions is a world first. Thus, myPI-LED adapts dynamic, seasonal daylight patterns to individual geographic coordinates and can also reproduce sunlight and sky blue. An absolute asset for shop applications is also included: photos of objects or rooms can be transformed into the corresponding light colours and thereby displayed in the optimal white light. This creates the opportunity to make clothes, shoes or even food appear in the best possible light in any location. Interactive or fully automatic.

Whether in shops, restaurants, offices, the healthcare sector or at home, more and more applications are using professional human-centric lighting solutions with intelligent lighting control systems. The light can run in automatic daylight patterns and pre-programmed mood sequences and can also be adjusted manually to changing requirements at any time. In reality, however, users are very reluctant to use the many individual functions. Once set, they hardly ever change the lighting moods, colour temperatures and colours, and as such, they are leaving enormous potential untapped.

With myPI-LED, LUMITECH intends to noticeably reduce the obstacles in the use of biorhythmic light and modern lighting control and to make it much easier for users to access professional lighting solutions. The innovative PC app is reminiscent of the popular apps for smart home lamp systems, but goes far beyond their functionalities. myPI-LED allows the lighting to think intelligently and it responds to a wide variety of requirements in a quick and personalised way. Whether it is the change of light sequences, geographically adapted daylight settings or the choice of exactly the right white light for a product or object. Interactive or automated, myPI-LED supports the user and always provides them with optimal lighting conditions. Seeing becomes a completely new interactive experience.

myPI-LED: simple and wireless

myPI-LED is available as a PC app for free download. In conjunction with a special USB stick, up to 200 PI-LED luminaires can be controlled via the wireless NeoLink wireless network (based on ZigBee), or up to 64 PI-LED luminaires integrated in a wireless DALI system in a maximum of 16 groups.

All colour points within the PI-LED triangle including all white light tones along the Planck curve can be controlled fully automatically or interactively via myPI-LED.

Features

Daylight pattern for the body's internal clock

With innovative daylight functions, myPI-LED supports wellbeing in both professional and private life. Dynamic, season-dependent daylight patterns reproduce the entire spectrum from sunlight to sky blue. You can choose between different automated daylight patterns and experience a sunny September day in central Europe, or adjust the light pattern individually to your own geographic coordinates, as well as the season and time of day. The lighting in the room is adjusted to the course of the sun in terms of colour temperature and light intensity and the user's "internal clock" is brought into harmony with the course of the day. Even the dimming of monitor light in the evening is taken into account.

The quality of the biorhythmic PI-LED light is first-class and is considered one of the best in the world. Colour temperatures of 1,800 K - 16,000 K can be continuously adjusted exactly along the Planck curve, with a CRI >90 in the range of 2,700 K - 7,000 K.

Perfect fit - patented camera system

The highlight of myPI-LED is undoubtedly the ability to constantly adjust the perfect white light at the click of a button and to change it in a matter of seconds if necessary. This function is an enormous asset for shop usage in particular, because every product can be perfectly illuminated, and haptics, colours and materials impressively come into their own. The function is very simple: the product is photographed, a point or area is marked on the photo – click: myPI-LED sets the optimal lighting conditions with the ideal white light for this situation. Alternatively, the colour of the marked area can also be called up as a light colour, whereby the colour effect of the object can be further intensified. This creates the opportunity to present clothes, shoes or even food in the best possible light in any location.

In addition, the sensational "Perfect fit" function is not only suitable for goods and products, but also for the design of room atmospheres. Simply take photos, mark the area for which the light should be optimised - and click. myPI-LED gives the user quick and easy access to the right light for every occasion. Good lighting has never been simpler.

Using light interactively

In addition to the daylight pattern and "Perfect fit", various lighting scenes such as sunrise and sunset or coloured lighting moods can be called up for special room ambience, in combination with music if desired. And if you want to make things entirely individual, you can also manually adjust any colour temperature, countless colour points and different brightnesses.

Gentle light without any blue

A special feature is the independent control of the three colour channels red, blue and mint, which means that the blue component in the light can be completely hidden. This function is especially essential for healthy light in the evening and at night, because the important melatonin production process remains balanced and is not disturbed. This function is also a big plus point for the lighting of sensitive objects, e.g. valuable works of art, as light exposure can be reduced to an absolute minimum.

Using routines

Light settings for specific product groups, recurring lighting tasks and various everyday routines can also be called up quickly and easily via a cover flow. This could include a special "focus light" such as the "cheese" or "steak light" or even a "cleaning light".

Welcome to the world of PI-LED

With PI-LED, everything revolves around the relationship between light and man: both in the effect of light, and in terms of installation and user-friendliness. The patented technology combines variable white light and RGB light colours in a single light source and has been synonymous with human-centric lighting at the highest level for over 10 years. PI-LED is a complete system that comprises all components of an integrated LED lighting solution, from the module to the controls. A wide range of designs makes it possible to use the technology in almost any luminaire shape.

In order to continuously expand and improve application possibilities and user-friendliness, the control options and interfaces are constantly being optimised. The interaction of PI-LED technology with myPI-LED now enables users to interactively and intuitively handle professional lighting. Human-centric lighting is therefore becoming a unique overall experience in which the human being, with all of his or her requirements, becomes the central focus at all times.
