With the help of the flexible luminaire Omnipoint, several areas of a single room can be highlighted. This opportunity is made possible by the individual control of all 61 light emitting diodes in the dome-shaped luminaire. The lighting direction, form and angle can be simply and flexibly controlled by using an app with an intuitive user interface. The app makes it possible to program and save various lighting scenes and then retrieve them using a tablet. The luminaire is particularly well-suited for rooms that require a high degree of lighting flexibility, including conference rooms or fashion shops that have rotating product presentations. After the Omnipoint prototype was priced "Innovation of the Year" at the Light Fair New York 2015, the series-production version equipped with additional control functions is being rolled out. Up to eight Omnipoint luminaires can then be controlled wirelessly using WI-FI with DMX512 protocol. The downlight will be initially offered in 3000 and 4000 Kelvin versions.
With the Omnipoint luminaire range from Osram the beam direction, pattern and angle can be individually and flexibly controlled in accordance with the lighting task using an app.
