ORAÉ® is a low-embodied-carbon float glass manufactured by Saint-Gobain Glass for windows, facades, glazed roofs, partitions, doors, and other architectural applications. It offers the same appearance, quality, and technical performance as conventional clear float glass and can be combined with Saint-Gobain’s solar-control and low-emissivity coatings to improve daylight, thermal insulation, and solar-control performance.
ORAÉ® is produced using approximately 64% recycled glass cullet and renewable electricity, reducing demand for virgin raw materials and the energy required during manufacture. Saint-Gobain reports an embodied carbon footprint of 6.64 kg CO₂e/m² for 4 mm ORAÉ®, 42% below that of its standard European PLANICLEAR® glass. Its high recycled content also supports material circularity; ORAÉ® is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze, with a Platinum rating for product circularity.
