Introducing the latest collection of rugs from Rug Maker; the renowned designers of the ‘Stamp Rug’. Created to celebrate 150 years since the first publication of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, the quirky illustrated themed rugs truly encapsulate the essence of the characters. Specifically chosen by the British Library, Rug Maker have been granted an exclusive license to reproduce artwork by John Tenniel from the Library’s original collections. Available in two distinctive designs, the exclusive new range offers the perfect way to introduce the captivating appeal of the well-known literary classic into interiors.
Inject a touch of style to living spaces by adorning floors with the statement rugs, for the ultimate combination of luxury and warmth beneath feet. Transform the iconic rugs into art by displaying them on the wall for an eyecatching decorative centrepiece that is a guaranteed conversation starter at every Mad Hatter’s tea party. Skillfully handcrafted from 100% New Zealand wool, the artwork for ‘The White Rabbit’ and ‘Alice, Drink Me’ rugs has been taken from the original first edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The new collection pays close attention to detail, featuring the instantly recognisable ‘Drink Me’ bottle and pocket watch that appear throughout the timeless children’s book.
The monochrome designs are hand woven in the Kathmandu valley in Nepal by highly skilled Tibetan and Nepalese weavers who hand knot Swiss aniline dyed New Zealand wool onto cotton warps and wefts. Rug Maker are supporters of ‘GoodWeave’, a global non-profit organisation that assure child labour is not used in the manufacturing process of these rugs.
