The Barley – Sibley Grove, designed by Jeremy Grove (2013)
The Barley is a stylish compact two-seat sofa, designed and constructed using innovative materials and manufacturing techniques. Sibley Grove had three key design considerations in mind when creating The Barley.
Firstly, they wanted to design a sofa that was suitable for smaller apartments, and this has been achieved with a stylish, comfortable and compact stainless steel frame.
Secondly, the seat and back cushions have been cleverly upholstered so they can be rotated and turned to create four new colour combinations in a matter of seconds. By giving the owner freedom to change colours easily it reduces the necessity for change as styles and trends evolve and enhances the longevity of the sofa.
Finally, Sibley Grove constantly strives to create better products, sustainably and ethically. The Barley is made using sustainable upholstery and recyclable parts and is manufactured in London by highly skilled and experienced crafts people.
