Thermally modified pine cladding supplied by Tiny Temple is used as a timber façade system, with boards planed to a consistent finish and installed using concealed fixings to create a continuous surface with no visible fasteners. Available in a range of profiles and sizes, the cladding can be adapted to suit different façade compositions while maintaining a coherent material expression. The natural variation in grain and knots introduces a subtle texture that sits comfortably alongside surrounding materials.

The timber is thermally modified through a high-temperature treatment process that enhances durability and dimensional stability without the use of chemical preservatives. Classified as Durability Class 2, the material offers improved resistance to moisture and biological decay, supporting a longer service life and reduced maintenance over time. The pine is PEFC-certified, indicating that it is sourced from responsibly managed forests. As a bio-based material, it stores carbon throughout its lifespan, and its relatively low processing intensity compared to many alternative façade materials contributes to a lower embodied impact. At end of life, the untreated timber can be reused, repurposed, or allowed to biodegrade, supporting circular material flows.
